Panocle AI Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Panocle AI app (the "Application") provided by Panoculon Labs Private Limited (the "Service Provider"). It explains what data we collect, how we use it, how it is shared, and the choices you have. By using the Application, you agree to this Policy.
What We Collect
Depending on how you use the Application, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and Identifiers: Firebase user ID (UID); information provided by sign‑in with Google or Apple (e.g., name and email as processed by the identity provider); session identifiers; app version; platform/OS.
- Profile and Preferences: userName, aiName, userAge or userAgeRange, userOccupation, userUseCase, language, and selected agent profile; device pairing preference.
- Device and Bluetooth Info: paired device name/alias and identifier (Android: MAC address; iOS: UUID) to connect to your glasses.
- Location: precise location (latitude/longitude) while the app is in use to provide contextual assistance and for platform Bluetooth requirements. We do not collect location in the background.
- User Content: text prompts, images you provide (including captured from connected glasses), and audio you record for transcription. Content is sent to our AI providers to generate responses.
- Usage Analytics: counts of questions asked and mode of use (e.g., live/chat) to improve reliability and understand feature usage.
- Optional Anonymous Telemetry (opt‑in): anonymized chat text and short audio samples with a randomly generated session ID and app version to help improve models and quality. This data is not associated with your account.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide and operate the Application and its features (including live assistance, transcription, and device pairing).
- Personalize responses and improve quality and reliability.
- Sync your settings across devices (e.g., language, agent profile, onboarding fields).
- Maintain safety and integrity, troubleshoot, and analyze usage.
- Communicate important updates and required notices. We do not use your data for third‑party advertising.
Processing and Sharing
We use trusted service providers to process data on our behalf:
- Firebase (Google) for authentication (Google/Apple sign‑in), cloud database/storage of your settings and usage metrics, and app infrastructure.
- Google AI (Gemini) via the Firebase AI SDK to process your prompts, images, transcripts, and contextual metadata (e.g., location) to generate responses.
These providers process your data under their terms and security controls. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer.
Permissions and Platform Disclosures
- Microphone: to capture audio for live assistance and transcription.
- Camera/Photos: to capture and process images (including from connected glasses) for assistance.
- Location (While In Use): to provide contextual assistance and for Bluetooth functionality on certain platforms.
- Bluetooth: to discover and connect to your glasses; we store the device identifier and name to reconnect.
Data Storage and Retention
- On‑device: we store "memories" (snippets and vector embeddings) locally on your device to personalize responses. You can delete the app data to remove these.
- Cloud: we store your profile/preferences, device pairing info, and usage metrics in Firebase. Optional anonymous telemetry (if enabled) is stored separately with a session ID, not your account.
- Retention: we retain data for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate purposes (e.g., security, compliance). Upon request, we will delete your cloud‑stored user data within a reasonable time, unless we must retain it by law.
Your Choices and Rights
- Telemetry Controls: you can toggle anonymous chat/audio collection in the Application settings at any time.
- Account Data: you can sign out at any time. To request deletion of your cloud‑stored user data (including settings and usage metrics), email wecare@panoculonlabs.com from your account email and include your Firebase user ID (UID). You can find your UID in‑app: Settings → Privacy Settings → Delete account (the dialog shows your UID). We will verify the request and delete your cloud‑stored data within a reasonable time unless we must retain it by law.
- Permissions: you can manage app permissions (microphone, camera/photos, location, Bluetooth) in your device settings. Disabling them may limit functionality.
Children’s Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. If your local law requires, you must be at least 16 years old (or have parental consent) to use the Application.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
International Transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. By using the Application, you consent to such transfers subject to applicable laws.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Application after changes indicates your acceptance.

For transparency on the stores’ forms:
- Data Collected: identifiers (account/UID), profile fields, device Bluetooth identifier, location (while‑in‑use), user content (text/audio/images), usage analytics; optional anonymous telemetry if enabled.
- Purposes: app functionality, personalization, analytics, account management, and service improvement. No third‑party advertising.
- Data Linked to You: account/UID, profile fields, usage metrics, and user content processed to deliver features.
- Data Not Linked to You: optional anonymous telemetry (chat/audio) when enabled, which uses a random session ID only.
